Monologue Commission

‘Is there anybody there?’ Meet You at the Corner is a hilarious look back over a life lived raising hell in Hull.  But what’s next for Hilda?

The body might be ready for the knacker's yard, but the soul must go on...

Trigger Warning: Blasphemy, recreational drug-taking/spiking, mooning out the back of the number 56 bus, snogging faces, far too much hairspray. Penis analysis. Blue Balls (The drink) with a sailor in The Elephant and Castle. (Genuine content warnings in our content notes section!)

All plays will be performed script-in-hand, by professional actors, after a short rehearsal period.

  • Themes of death and grief.

Age recommendation 14+, with parental discretion. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Roll to React by Michelle Kelly and Everyone We Know Has Kids by Samuel Sims and Jay Grainger, will be presented with Meet You at the Corner. Only one ticket is required.

Meet Laura in our Meet the Writers events, each morning of the festival at 9:30am at Stage@TheDock.
