Stage at the Dock
Stage@TheDock is an open-air amphitheatre in the former central dry dock, next to the river that gives the city its name. Events will take place inside a weatherproof marquee at stage level, accessible by a lift.
Stage@TheDock will host play readings, keynote speeches, our lunchtime networking sessions and our meet the writer panels.
Toilets are located at Nibble and Bert’s, next to Stage@TheDock, which will be available to use at any time, including during the events.
A box office is open throughout the festival at Stage@TheDock, where you can buy tickets or get help with your bookings.
Pier Street
The Pop-Up Space at 1-2 Pier Street is a former warehouse converted by Wykeland.
Pier Street will host all of our workshops and the majority of our talks.
It has level access throughout and an accessible toilet.
It is also opposite the new home of Middle Child, which will host sharings of work by three different writers’ groups.
Middle Child
Middle Child opened a new 65-seater studio theatre in May with Isabelle, a play by Marc Graham originally commissioned for Fresh Ink 2024.
This space will host sharings of work by Middle Child’s three writers’ groups. It has level access and some step-free seating, as well as an accessible toilet.
A box office will be stationed outside and open throughout the festival, where you can buy tickets or get help with your bookings.
Fruit Market
The Fruit Market quarter is home to many independent cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, which we encourage festival-goers to visit and take advantage of.
You are welcome to bring refreshments into any of the Fresh Ink venues.
