Part one will feature Eyes Down by Jed Salisbury, Nectarines in the Window by Jake Truman, Rachel And Shirley by Ragna Gift, The Birds’ Lullaby by Izzy Trent Daltry and Dishes (The Food Feud) by Jodie Langford.

Eyes Down by Jed Salisbury

It’s not the dying I mind, it’s the idea of the world carrying on, forgetting me like a dropped stitch. Eyes Down is a glimpse into a part of life we don’t notice until we’re living it, the quiet, overlooked rhythm of growing old. It’s a story where love, friendship, and bingo offer a break to the monotony. A gentle, funny, and sometimes painful reminder that life doesn’t stop, it just slows down, and sometimes that’s when you feel it most.

Nectarines in the Window by Jake Truman

Two estranged siblings navigate addiction, grief and the East Yorkshire countryside.

Rachel and Shirley by Ragna Gift

Eartha Kitt has just finished performing and Rachel and Shirley are inspired, but can their excitement survive the walk home, or will the social pressures around race and sexuality in 1960’s Batley mean that their relationship doesn’t make it to the morning?

The Birds' Lullaby by Izzy Trent Daltry

A domestic portrait of two women in love: Eddie, a practical, caring person working as a paralegal in environmental law; and Kate, highly fraught and about to start her shift at the bar. In the time between Eddie getting home and Kate leaving, they tackle problems both unique and universal: a wardrobe crisis, autistic overwhelm, and what to do when you just want the person you love to be happy.

Dishes (The Food Feud) by Jodie Langford

A fractured relationship between two siblings who awkwardly have to navigate sharing a flat together. It explores one sibling’s yearning for emotional connection, coupled with the mourning of childlike innocence and childhood.

All plays will be performed script-in-hand, by professional actors, after a short rehearsal period.

  • Themes and references to addiction, death and dying, grief, poor mental health, racism. Strong language.

Age recommendation 14+, with parental discretion. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
