No Dress Code
No Dress Code is a writers’ group for 16-25 year olds in Hull who are new to playwriting, supporting emerging writers to develop their confidence and skills with a youth focus.
Over an intensive week in February of this year, Hull playwright Lydia Marchant led participants through the process of writing their first-ever scenes.
These were then performed in a small sharing by young performers from the Northern Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) and will be performed again, script-in-hand, at Fresh Ink by our company of festival actors.
No Dress Code is supported by the I Am Fund, as part of Middle Child’s programme of the same name to improve access to theatre for young people.
