Reviews can make or break a new play, but what’s really behind them?

In this candid session, theatre critic Holly Williams shares how she approaches brand new work, offering writers and creatives a rare glimpse into the critic’s mindset.

What are reviewers looking for? How do they compare new writing to existing works? And how can artists engage with criticism in a healthy, constructive way?

If you’ve ever felt at the mercy of the star-rating system, this workshop will demystify the process and help you see criticism not as a threat, but as part of the ongoing conversation around your work.
